Event Information

Title: Educating Today's College Students for a Career in Manufacturing

Type: Expo Education

Description

Colleges and universities are responding to the needs of industry by changing their programs. Several have incorporated elements of mechatronics, the holistic discipline of IT, mechanical, and electrical knowledge into one program. During our discussion, we will explore how ‘learning factories’ are used in classrooms and the technologies that today’s students are learning: CNC, Robotics, Artificial Intelligence, Augmented Reality, and many others. Used correctly, this equipment provides students with the hard and soft (durable) skills they need to succeed.
